Our Mission:

The Friends of Blood Run is a local citizens group of volunteers advocating for the historical, cultural, archeological, and natural resources in the Blood Run National Historical Landmark (NHL) and surrounding areas.

Long Range Goals:

1) Encourage protection of the historical, cultural and natural resources of this Northwest Iowa Historic Landmark, especially in areas where mounds are at risk.

2) Foster communication among the various stakeholders including Native American tribes, governmental agencies, and the general public.

3) Facilitate education, interpretation, protection and research related to the cultural and natural resources.

4) Engage in promotion for the NHL and Friends of Blood Run group using a website, Face Book, and email.
