Welcome to NW Iowa’s hidden gem: Blood Run National Historic Landmark

It all began several hundred years ago when a group of peoples known as the Oneota settled in a lovely green place near the water. Here they built a thriving community and commerce center for trade among the various peoples of the area. We, the Friends of Blood Run, are committed to protecting this site and surrounding area so future generations can continue to learn about the Oneota people and how the lived and worked. Won’t you join us on this journey?
